We visit your property with a designer and public safety officer to identify safety risks. You receive a prioritized action plan to improve visibility, access control, and site use

We help your team implement recommended improvements, coordinating design updates, contractors, and site changes so the strategy becomes real-world results

After improvements are made, we measure results, documenting safety improvements and identifying any adjustments needed

Safety Is a Team Strategy

When we assess your site, we don’t work in isolation. We coordinate directly with public safety officers, designers, developers, maintenance teams, and community leaders to ensure every safety strategy is aligned, practical, and implementable.

Our goal is not just safer spaces; it’s safer spaces that protect and enhance your investment.

FOUNDER & STRATEGIST

I design places that prevent crime, bring people together, and protect investments.

Melissa Dominguez, Landscape Architect and CPTED Practitioner, founded Dominguez Urban Strategies with one belief: safety comes first.

With a background in landscape architecture and site design, Melissa approaches safety not as a reaction,  but as an intentional design strategy.

When a space feels unsafe, nothing else works. Not community. Not business. Not trust.

Drawing from her experience designing multifamily developments, parks, and commercial sites, she uses proven Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles to help property owners, schools, and cities address the root causes of crime, not just respond to the symptoms.

Melissa works alongside public safety professionals, developers, and design teams to implement real, visible changes that reduce risk and protect people.

And she doesn’t stop at recommendations. She follows through, measures results, and demonstrates that safer spaces strengthen communities and protect long-term property value.
